What Can I Give My Dog For ConstipationMoist or Canned Food.

If your dog normally eats dry food, you can switch to wet food for the next 2 days. This will add moisture to their diet and help soften their stool so they can get rid of it more easily.

Give Them Milk.

Milk can be used as a mild laxative for dogs. You can give them a half cup of warm milk to drink and they should be relieved of their constipation in a few hours.

Or Give Them Gravy.

Gravy is another ingredient that most people already have in their kitchen. You can add gravy to their food or give it to them directly. It works in the same way that switching to canned food does – it will be easier for them to digest food with more moisture in it.

Give Them More Water.

It’s difficult to force your dog to drink more but if you don’t already have a bowl of water out for them at all times, make sure you do. Dehydration is the most common cause of constipation in dogs. If you find that giving them more water fixed their issue, you should consider making sure they have easier access to it in the future.
